Boston Opera House is a performing arts center located in Huntington Avenue in Boston, Massachusetts. The Opera House was officially opened in 1909, but the construction was started in 1901 and due to some financial troubles the construction got delayed. In 1908 Eben Jordan, Jr. gave financial support to complete the building and Guido Nincheri supported the interior decoration of the theatre. On November 8, 1909 the Opera House was opened with a grand performance of La Fioconda. The Opera House was known as a “perfect jewel- box of an opera house”.

It served as a home to the Boston Opera Company for six years since its opening under the power of impresario Henry Russell. But after the fall of Boston Opera Company in 1915 it was utilized for the performance of other local opera companies and Metropolitan Opera.

Boston Opera House was damaged during the Great Depression and World War II. In 1957, it was confirmed that the Opera House was unsafe and scheduled it for destruction. In spite of its damage the demolition companies felt difficult to destruct. Only after the use of larger destructing crane, the building was demolished.
